Volunteers Welcome

We would love to have your help! Volunteers are needed for a variety of jobs during the festival, including gate admission, t-shirt sales, and in the beer garden. All we ask is that you are 16 years of age or older (parental permission required for those under 18) and commit to working at least one five-hour shift.

Sign up to volunteer by clicking the link to the right.  You will receive more specific information, including your scheduled times, as the festival date gets closer.  All volunteers will receive a free Pickin’ t-shirt and a weekend pass to the festival upon completion of their assigned task.

In addition to shouting it from the rooftops, we need people to:

  • Attend festivals throughout the mid-Atlantic (BBQ and Bluegrass festivals are a plus!), wear your tee shirt and hand out flyers that include a discount coupon for Pickin’ tickets at concerts and festivals.
  • Put Pickin’ posters in area restaurants, shops and community bulletin boards in your community or when you travel throughout the mid-Atlantic.
  • Go Viral! Blog about Pickin’; make postings on appropriate e-bulletin boards; send to your email lists or list-serv; post pic’s to our Facebook page; upload past Pickin’ videos to YouTube and more!

We welcome promoters from any area within 500 miles of the festival and are especially looking for Pickin’ Promoters in major metro areas; DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, as well as Northern Virginia, Philadelphia, and Delaware, New Jersey, Ohio, and of course, West Virginia. We will provide you with a link to online ticket sales and assign you unique $3 off discount coupon code that you can hand out, post and distribute. The promoter with the most tickets sold will win a VIP backstage pass!*

*Pickin’ Promoters must assist us with at least 10 hours of promotional activities and complete a one page form documenting your activities (links to blogs, list of places you distributed information, etc.)
