Pickin’ in the Panhandle is host to the KCBS West Virginia State BBQ Championship and a Backyard BBQ Cook-off. Whether you’re a professional chef or just king of the grill in your own backyard, we have the competition for you – complete with cash prizes, trophies, and braggin’ rights!

- 1:30 pm – Brisket turn-in
- 2:00 pm – Cook’s Choice/WV Governors Cup turn-in
- 2:30 pm – Smokin’ Sweets turn-in
- 5:45 pm – BBQ Awards
- 6:45 pm – Cooks meeting for backyard teams
- 7:00 pm – Meat inspection is available for backyard teams (please give advanced notice if you wish to have meat inspected)
- Midnight to 7:00 am – Quiet time
